Pictures of Dilute Blue (Maltese) Merle Dogs

Dilute blue merles can be hard to tell from regular blue merles. The difference is that they do not have any true black. Their non-merled areas will be gray, rather than black. Their noses, lips, eyerims, and pawpads will be slate colored. It can be hard to see this in photographs. This color is sometimes referred to as "maltese."

(Remember, all pictures with blue borders are links.)
